Improving outcomes for head and neck cancer patients.
Head and neck cancers are the sixth most common group of cancers in the world.
Head and neck cancer patients often face a marked loss of quality of life because of harsh treatments. We want to see prevention, early detection, and improved treatment options.
We fund head and neck cancer research
We support medical research to better understand head and neck cancers, and develop more effective and less invasive treatments.
We raise awareness through education and advocacy
We provide community and clinician education on head and neck cancer, and advocate for strategies which help prevent these cancers, improve outcomes for patients and reduce health inequities.
“It is only through perseverance in research that better strategies for prevention, early detection, and more effective treatment of head and neck cancer can be realised.”
— Dr Swee Tan, Chair of Trustees, Head and Neck Cancer Foundation Aotearoa
We work collaboratively with organisations that aim to reduce the impact of head and neck cancer.
